Jeannette Suter Joins BRC as Vice President for Independent and Assisted Living

Bridgewater Retirement Community (BRC) today announces the appointment of Jeannette Suter to serve as Vice President for Independent and Assisted Living.

Suter comes to BRC with over 15 years of leadership experience in the senior living industry, previously serving as executive director for Generations Crossing, president for AMBRcare Geriatric Care Management, and most recently as marketing director for Home Instead Senior Care. She holds two degrees from James Madison University in Harrisonburg—a bachelor’s degree in social work and a master’s degree in public administration.

“My passion for working with older adults began when I completed my internship at Bridgewater Retirement Community in 1999,” says Suter. “I am excited for the opportunity to return to where it all began and eager to fulfill the responsibilities of Vice President of Independent and Assisted Living.

Working closely with the President and Board of Directors, the VP of Assisted and Independent Living oversees all operations and functions of the independent and assisted levels of living—including wellness services, dining services, resident services, activities, facilities management, and environmental services.

“We are thrilled to welcome Jeannette to the Bridgewater Retirement Community family,” says BRC president Rodney Alderfer. “Jeannette brings more than just a wealth of knowledge and experience. Her dedication and passion for improving the lives of older adults will greatly benefit our residents and team.”

Suter begins work at BRC on September 21.

To remain eligible for the Home No Matter What Promise, residents must fulfill their obligations in turn as citizens of the BRC community and not give away the resources needed to meet financial obligations to BRC.
