At BRC, you’ll work alongside a diverse crew of teammates working in a variety of roles. From groundskeepers to administrative professionals, CNAs to servers, laundry specialists to maintenance mechanics, and more—our community relies on everyone to provide high quality service to our residents.
I was lucky enough to take the CNA class offered by BRC when I was 17 years old. I’ve always been told “if you choose a job you love, you will never have to work a day in your life.” This could not be any more accurate working here! We are treated like family, and BRC has supported many milestones in my life, including leadership opportunities. I love sharing with people what a great community we have!
I started in dining here at BRC just to have a job while I was in school. But I loved being here and decided to become a CNA, and then BRC even paid for me to go to nursing school. I never expected to make nursing a career, but I did a 180, and it’s perfect for me!
I started working at BRC in January of 2000 when I was 16 years old, just wanting a part-time job. I enjoy working at BRC because it feels like you are a part of a family here, and I often refer to BRC as my second home. I was very supported and encouraged by my leadership to pursue nursing leadership opportunities when they arose here at BRC.

We’re committed to the future of the nursing profession and are pleased to provide CNA and Med-Aide licensure courses at no charge. Classroom and clinical instruction/hours are based upon regulations governing certified nurse aides by the Virginia Board of Nursing.
BRC team members are compensated while in class. We offer positions to all students who successfully complete the class coursework and test. Plus, students enrolled in our classes who are planning to work at BRC upon completion are even eligible for benefits and incentives in line with their status (FT/PT)!

Referral and Sign-On Bonus
If a current BRC team member refers a new team member for any full-time or half-time position, they will earn a referral bonus. These bonuses will be paid in two phases: half will be paid once the referred team member has worked 90 days, and half will be paid once the referred team member has worked 180 days. During this time, the referred team member must maintain their status, and both team members must be active at the time of each payment. Please note that potential new team members must list the referring team member’s name on their application for that person to be eligible for the bonus.
Any candidate filling a full-time or part-time CNA, Med-Aide, Nurse, Homemaker, or Cook position will be eligible for a $1000 sign-on bonus. These bonuses will be paid in two phases: half will be paid once the team member has worked 90 days, and half will be paid once the team member has worked 180 days. During this time, the new team member must maintain their status and be active at the time of each payment.
To remain eligible for the Home No Matter What Promise, residents must fulfill their obligations in turn as citizens of the BRC community and not give away the resources needed to meet financial obligations to BRC.
