Volunteer Spotlight: Bill Ludwick

Bill Ludwick and his wife Mary moved into Bridgewater Village almost seven years ago and engage fully in community life at BRC. He says, jokingly, “We are becoming more and more acclimated every year.”

Travel and taking care of family affairs often takes them away from the Village, but that does not stop Bill from volunteering regularly as well.

He especially enjoys assisting residents in Bridgewater Home to their appointments in the Beauty Salon. His cheerful interaction with residents is always welcomed.

Bill is also a member of the Bridgewater Home Auxiliary luncheon team that does set-up and take-down for the monthly luncheons at Bridgewater Church of the Brethren, which raise more than $9,000 annually.

He and Mary also fill in as cashiers for the luncheons when others are away.  And on top of that, Bill is active with the Bridgewater Village Residents Association and recently agreed to spend one whole year as treasurer.

Bill and Mary are prime examples of the engaged, compassionate community at BRC. They continue active lives with family and community, and are always willing to share their time and talents helping out in so many ways.

To remain eligible for the Home No Matter What Promise, residents must fulfill their obligations in turn as citizens of the BRC community and not give away the resources needed to meet financial obligations to BRC.
